I actually like the look of rugs and it's a good way to protect the floors. I thought about the whole gate thing - the upstairs is all carpet and she lives in the large basement with my son for now until I can figure it out. I feel bad though 😔

Very nice!! Plus my feet start hurting after a while walking on bare wood, so rugs are a must!
