I don't want any myself but if it makes the homeowner happy it's worth it.

Makes me feel like I'm back on the plant floor:

"xx Days Without a Lost Time Accident"

"Safety is Job 1"

"Hearing Protection Required in This Area"

"No Mixed Metals Aluminum Chips Only"

I know I had mentioned this in another thread about the words.
My SIL has these sayings in her home.

"believe", "happiness", "home is where the heart is" etc....

and thier house is more like:

fighting
yelling
babies crying
teens rebelling.

anything but harmonious...

i dont like sayings at all, i feel like I am being forced to read something, and i dont want to.

It wouldn't be a stretch to say Kohl's was one of her influences.
Seriously? Kohl's isn't IMO a trend-setter for anything.

HAH! I totally understand and identify. Its almost like these "word art" proponents are trying to convince you that they have a certain lifestyle or values by literally writing it on the wall. As though you aren't intelligent enough to actually notice what is going on around you. Or they are trying to be clever or too cute by half. A sign is no substitute for wit.

Best question of the thread!

Hang on to those puppies. Someday they will fetch some nostalgic bucks on eBay.

In fairness, I asked her what was up with all the signage and we had a discussion about editing some of it.

I am an admitted, unabashed snob when it comes to certain things. Don't invite me over

Hahaha! This cracked me up.

I keep thinking of Big Brother and the novel 1984:

Yep, when someone has "life is good" stickers all over their car it just makes you feel sorry for them, it's so clear their life sucks.
