I'm closing on this fixer in January. It's located in a quaint small town downtown area, with lots of colorful houses in the neighborhood. I'm drawn to deeply colored houses with light trim.

Confirmed changes: adding privacy fence, extending stairs, replacing the storm door with a higher quality one that fits frame, new roof ASAP (dark grey/black/asphalt?). I wont be doing anything structural to the home beyond these things mentioned, although I do think a small wall-attached pergola would look nice above the door and front windows.

House in it's current state:

and the only color configuration I have come up with:

I'm keeping the siding that is currently there! Suggestions for interesting color combos a little outside of the box?

You can copy and paste everything between the URLs into a new tab.

OP I don't love the combo you posted. I would Google paint schemes for salt box houses, even though yours isn't technically a salt box, and get some ideas.

OP, it looks like in your mockup of colors and also the mention of fencing and a pergola what you have in mind is green with cedar accents. It I have interpreted this correctly I would suggest doing your gables in cedar shake, cedar stained shutters or black shutters and cedar stained fence with a lighter green color on the house and white or cream trim. I don't think it would cost a fortune to do cedar shake on one or two of your gables on the front. They also make vinyl siding in the cedar shake style but I think that might be hard to match to your fence and shutter colors if you want them all to match. Also if you will notice almost all of the green with cedar homes have gray roofs, maybe some black roofs.

Here is one example, note they painted the bottom of the house in the same color but lighter shade of green on the stone part, it's a really nice look.

This house has only one gable done in cedar shake and the house is light green with white and black shutters.
