It’s basically terrazzo with resin instead of cement, and giant chunks of Italian marble. It’s graphic and striking. But I don’t see its aesthetic properly reflected in small tiles and small formats that this AD writer suggests. A large slab for a counter or wall is visually amazing. That’s probably why it’s popular on pinterest (and editorials). I just don’t see it being ever popular for the average consumer. It’s too pricey and too bold.

I like terrazzo floors with the little chips. That new stuff is to spotty looking with the bigger chunks, too distracting, instant dislike. If they use the small chips like terrazzo it would be better.

mesmerizing is not the way I'd describe it.

Not in my house, thank you. Too busy. Too splotchy.

Not for me, I don't have a beach house.

That bathroom is bad for the eyes.

It will probably win a prize, though.

I think it look great and inviting in small doses, like an enter-way or a small patio, someplace where it's a sunny and warm throughout year!

Ugh! Not for me. If it was in a house I was looking to buy, I would absolutely pass.

The first photo almost looks like the vinyl I have on my kitchen floor (small, galley kitchen) - a flooring from Armstrong back when I remodeled (I like my floor, it's more like paint splatters) - the large pattern in the OP makes me nauseous, LOL
