Use the narrow wall as an accent wall. Paint it white.

I would go with a long, vertical piece of art. The problem is, it could be heavy at that size. So maybe a canvas painting or fabric wall hanging -- as someone else said, something that would make you happy every time you passed it. I would definitely not put anything else on the landing, it doesn't seem there's enough room.

Just a big art piece, no furniture, not even a vase since it will shrink the space, I have a Chinese caligraphy textile piece, gold and red.

Sounds beautiful. I love textiles. I've done my apartment with a bunch of layered rugs and I love it. Do you have any pics? Would love to see one.
