We found a BIG vintage one in an antique store last year and snapped it up. It's very large, probably at least 14 inches tall and maybe 18 inches tall, and big around. Like you, when I get it down I'll post a picture of it!

My grandmother made a green one - I think it was sold in the estate sale before I could get to it. I was originally looking for a green one like hers, but she would have loved this one. She loved the color aqua.

It seems like the trends cycle what was popular 20-30 years ago. I am personally loving all the bright colored, big lights!

Well, my color scheme in my living room is cobalt blue, orange, and rich, bright green. So yeah - those evergreen and red Christmas doodads definitely don't work in there. I have been very happy to add some trendy blue stuff to the decor, and am patiently waiting to find orange holiday accents that aren't for Halloween - LOL! Not holding my breath so I think I will stick with blue and silver and white!

The trend I expect is less to none, as younger generations stay focused on food and rent and live in small apartments instead of big houses. A wreath or bough on a shelf may replace the suburban tree.
