Beautiful bath area. I love taking a deep, hot bath.

I bought a claw foot tub at an auction. Used it as a water trough for my horses. Perfect.

Now that is a great use for one of those things.

Claw foot tubs are gorgeous and I am a bath person. However, a few years ago we stayed in a beautiful hotel which had one and I was shocked at how awkward it was to use. Definitely not senior friendly but I think not very user friendly at all to anyone. (Maybe if it was laid out differently it would not have been so difficult)- but agree they are pretty but not nice to use.

Seen on HGTV or as part of home staging decor.

Do ordinary people actually own these things?
Yep - I do but I do change the balls according to the season. Sometimes instead of balls I have potpourri with pinecones, etc.

I know a lot of people don't like curtains but I consider them the icing on the cake unless you are going for a super modern look.

I don’t like the floor....too busy, but at least the spareness of the decor doesn’t fight with it much. I’m a curtain girl too.

Looking at the room again - you are absolutely right - the sparseness of the room makes the floor work.
