I don't know call me crazy, but, early Labor Day is not a driving factor for last weekend or this weekend to put up Halloween lights. Retail stores are on a totally different calendar than the normal household is so that is not a valid justification in my mind either. I just don't get the rush, but, I don't have to, it is your house and you have every right to do as you see fit, no matter how out of synch the rest of the forum thinks you are.
