My sister uses them and loves them. I had never even heard of them before she showed them to me. Not for anything real heavy, but they seem to be a nice solution for her.

ive used them for years and had great luck. Love them. Ive even tested them in my garage dry wall in the past and they held up beyond their weight limit. (24 hour test with no visible change or stressing of the wall during that time).

I still wouldnt actually hang anything that heavy using nothing but monkey hooks, but im pretty sure there is a reasonable safety factory beyond what they even state.

I have been using them for about 5 years now and love them. I like others won't use them on something really heavy.

We use monkey hooks almost exclusively at our house. Never had a single problem.

I use them occasionally. Sometimes it's just easier to use a nail. They sell heavy duty ones for heavier objects. I used 2 of them next to each other just to be on the safe side when I hung up a heavy mirror. The mirror is still up, so I guess they're working.

I like the fact that I can just push them into the wall, twist a bit and I've got a hanger. The bad part is I have found more studs using these things so I resort to using a nail instead. Luckily you can remove them just as easily.

I also like how the protruding part of the hook is tilted upward; again, providing more stability and safety.
In the last house we lived in, everything was hung on Hercules Hooks. We have a huge framed digging stone my wife's first husband found while arrowhead hunting. This stone, plus frame, weighs about 20-25 pounds. Didn't hesitate to hang it on a Hercules Hook. Cant use them where we live now. House was built in 1911 and all plaster walls. I miss using them!

I think they claim they can hold up to 150 lbs., though. I'm not going to trust that. lol Especially with a pet.
