Whew, I got the living room and kitchen and breakfast nook stuff down and boxed up, and my Mardi Gras decorations are out! Time marches on.

I generally leave the tree in the front window and the outside lights up, as well as the Nativity sets out, till Epiphany on January 6th.

I have loved my four little bird trees this year, but I'm really sitting here boxing them up in my mind now. I've had enough of them!

I'll take mine down New Years day. Just the tree and two wreaths so shouldn't take more than an hour

This is when I have Christmas envy. It takes me about an hour to get the boxes upstairs!

We have stairs rather than a pull down ladder up to our attic, thank God. From the garage. I have a pile of filled boxes at the foot of those stairs. I've decided that every day I will take two boxes upstairs. That should put me done in a few days. I was going to do it all in one day but thought "Why on earth am I doing this to myself?"

We are taking the tree down tomorrow. This is a day earlier than normal. I am OK with that.

We have a beautiful little 3 ft high fence about 100 ft long. I strung a row of mini lights all along it. I took those down yesterday as well as the window lights. We have a nice living 6 ft tall Alberta Spruce that looked great with lights on it. Took those lights down today. I'm done!

The nice thing about not having a tree is not having to take it down. The only thing we did was put our Christmas cards on the mantle. They will be very easy to take down.

I will have the lights down Wednesday in about 30 minutes. The 3' artificial tree and the 4 stockings will be in the garage in about 2 minutes. Pretty easy cleanup!

My daughter and SIL flew home the morning of Christmas Eve, so I started packing decorations on Christmas and took the tree down on the 26th. Some things are still piled in the spare room waiting to be boxed, but I want to take some time to go through and purge the decorations I no longer want. The outdoor wreaths and lights are still up, but will come down by next weekend.
