Need a little help on picking the correct size round rug for my foyer. I just bought a 4' round rug and it appears a bit small, is there a correct way to find the size that sohould fit the space?
Our home's foyer is approx. (or should I say this particular area where the rug would be is approx. 8ft by 8ft) Although, it is a box/octogon shape.
I have a foyer table against the angled wall and the rug just touching the legs? Not sure if I should go for a bigger 6' rug and put it under the legs of the table?
I've always thought a round rug in a square room looked "off" unless the table is also round and centered on the round rug in the foyer. Given that your table will be on the side I'd suggest choosing a square/ rectangular rug to compliment your room shape rather than the round.

Her foyer is octagon shaped. A square or rectangular rug would look terrible.
Please make picture of your foyer, and where exactly the table is situated. We would also like to know about the doors/windows situation. Anything else standing on the floor? You are right, in my opinion a round rug is the ideal shape for it. Now we just have to figure out the right size
Hmmmmmmmm... looking at your foyer shape again... what about a wide runner? How wide is each wall... something around 3 feet, maybe?
Thank you so much for all your assistance, I will take a picture and hope that will make things a bit clearer!
Thanks again
