Okay . . . another poster needed help w/ a mystery fabric (and its designer) and one of our wonderful posters figured it out!!!

So I am here to ask a similar question . . . I saw a chair in the set used on Army Wives - and I believe it was in Claudia Joy's bedroom . . . and I have been going nuts trying to find out what that fabric is . . .

The fabric has a black (it appears) background and stylized animals in earth tone colors (maybe some orange and red, as well).

Did anyone else see this chair/fabric? I thought - okay - maybe Scalamadre, Stroheim Romann, Kravet, P Kauffman . . . so I have spent iiterally hours this past week trying to search fabrics to locate this one. Obviously, NO LUCK!

So if anyone has also noticed this gorgeous fabric and can direct me to the manufacturer/designer . . . I would be so grateful. I have a chair I would like to re-upholster in this fabric.

Hey, Fisher! I appreciate your joining in for the search!

The fabric has a solid black background. It COULD be a tapestry, but I doubt it. Llikewise, the animals on it COULD be crewel embroidery, but again, I kinda doubt it.

The look is highly stylized, but almost primitive - the animals, if I remember correctly, are in solid colors - and all earthtones. For example, a gold camel.

I watched Army Wives last nite hoping they would show another glimpse (but they didn't!!!) I really really want this fabric.

I am guessing that it is a designer fabric - and probably retails for over $200 a yard. But that is just a guess.
