I keep seeing people on TV paint things a nice sage green or light green color and everytime I try to do it, it is really ugly. I want to paint a small bathroom this color. Can anyone suggest a good color?

Kristine

I'm looking for the same...not too blue, not too yellow. I want to paint a dining room. But I would like not too light...something a little richer.

BM Olive Branch is a popular green.

hammy look at Porter paint color Balsom, this is one of the few that I have actually liked and lived with. It is nuetral enough to use with blues, dark browns ect. It is a soothing color for bed and bath.

There is a tendency for people to select sage greens that are too dark and too blue/green on the paint chips. Look at chips which, in the store, appear lighter in color and a lot more grey. The chips will probably look too light and too grey in the store...until you get them home in your natural lighting

boy, where have I been, this is my forte, I'm an interior designer......
my fave shade of green is a Sherwin-Williams, #6423, Ryegrass.
Its neither too blue, or too yellow.
Goes well in tradtional, transitional, or contemporary interiors..... remember, green is actually a neutrel color, look outside your window to see what nature does with it if you doubt me.
Its the undercolors, and the saturation of the hue that you must pay attention to.

I like the color that is slightly darker than restful (on the same strip) -- I don't remember the name though.

I would strongly recommend getting sample size cans of a few different colors that you think you like and putting them on your wall. Then you'll know whether you truly like them, and if you don't, what you don't like about it (ex, if it is too blue, then you intentionalize looking at samples that are less blue).

Thanks for all your advice! I will be off the paint stores to look for some samples. And of course, pick up the ones that were mentioned here.
