I like the look of a single but never had one, have the double but too deep and I'm short and it hurts my back. Never get the triple-that stupid little sink is useless.
I had the same question about going single or double-sink a few months back when building my house. I ended up with one big single sink and I have never regretted my decision. I could never soak pans in my double sinks of the past and those are really the only things that need to be washed by hand. Now, there's plenty of room to put in the pan and there's still room on the side if someone sticks a glass or something in there for washing.
In the house we rented, it had a deep single sink with a small area to the side where the garbage disposal was. It was alright, but I perfer a double sink. They do make some doubles that are alittle deeper. If I could choose things for my dream house, it would be a double sink with a faucet that goes up a little higher than a basic faucet.
