Woven wood blinds for sliding door (room, window, brand)

I'm considering woven wood blinds for an 8' sliding door and am wondering if anyone has tried them--?

One brand is Averte manufactured by Horizons -- and a couple of blinds websites have their own line. They fold in an acordian pleat and I'm wondering how much stacking room is required?

Any information/reviews would be appreciated.
