I just rented a house that has floor to ceiling mirrors on both sides of one wall, family room on one side and kitchen on the other. What a nightmare! I'm going to try to hang ecru sheers over the wall in the family room by putting hooks in the ceiling and a small rod through the hooks. Am still looking for ideas for the kitchen. Both my husband and I have walked into the wall as the optical illusion makes it look like you have already turned the corner. We asked if we could take them down and the landlords were horrified as they just spent $5000 to put them up! Can think of about 20 different things I could spend $5000 on but that's just me!

You wallpaper mirrored walls. Comes off in an hour when you move.

Relax, its a new topic. A poster with all of 1 post looked for something related to her question and added to the thread. Actually a good idea to consolidate the responses on a topic.

I have to agree- 5k could do a lot of things besides mirrored walls (which I despise) in a rental. What the Hell were they thinking?
But, you have to ask yourself these questions-
You saw it before you rented, right? So don't gripe- you're only renting. Usually means a short stay, or is it?
