Can you spray paint microfiber? (colored, upholster, texture, living room)

I bought a nice chair from Overstock.com, but it's the wrong color. They said it was kiwi green but it's really a sickly yellow/green.
I HATE the color/LOVE the chair.
Does anyone know what will happen if I spray paint this chair? Will I ruin the microfiber? Will it look like I spray painted it, thus ruining it? Will the texture change? Or will it look like the factory dyed it that color (as I wish they had).
Do not spray paint it. The texture of the microfiber will be completely ruined.
It will be rough, uneven and frankly probably quite ugly looking.
Do you know how to upholster it?
Or do you know someone who does?
I'm afraid that's your best option. Either that or slipcover it in the kiwi green that you wanted.
Thanks bellalunatic. I didn't think spray painting was my best option, but I'm kinda desperate. The correct color green is essential to making my living room look the way I envision it. Right now, that yellow/green color does nothing for the room.
Check out the link--this is NOT the color I have :(

I would get ahold of Overstock - is it possible they sent you a dud of some sort - a faded or odd ball colored chair - if they say the color really is that color it should be - I would check with them - maybe return it and start from scratch?
The color on my monitor on this link is certainly NOT kiwi green...it's kind of a sickly gold/yellow/green...not a Kiwi Green at all.
Can you return it to Overstock.com?

I see a yellow/brown/green, too. More like the outside color of a kiwi, not the inside green. Its especially obvious when you click on the 3rd picture, the close up of the color. I know it expensive to return something that large, but its probably your only choice. Or else try to reupholster it.
Dye and spray paint looks totally apart from each other. Micro fibre will be ruined if you spray paint it it will have a hard texture as micro fibre is an alternate name for terry cloth.
Best way is to get new fabric for it instead of spray paint.

So does that mean I can dye it but not spray paint it? Or would dyeing it also be a bad choice?
You cannot paint upholstery fabric, EVER! If Overstock can't get you what you want and you love the lines of the chair, your only option is to have it recovered.
