I think a lime green would be awesome. Not like, acid and horribly bright lime green, but in that family. On the other hand, I'd totally paint the cabinets white, and then paint the walls a grey-blue because fi you keep them the way they are, they're going to look dated.

Sorry to be a sticky beak but I was wondering what that is in the second picture over in the left hand corner? It looks like another sink of sorts with a tap over it, least I think it does, but I'm not sure and my partner says it's a glass.

Oh and someone said not fire engine red before but I reckon that would be kinda cool OR a bright apple green.

If I am repeating suggestions sorry. I did not read all the posts. I would do a backsplash of glass subway tiles placed on the vertical in a gray. Then for the wall I would do a gray with a blue undertone. BM Marina might be an option. Use kitchen accents/decor in orange or russet orange. Placing a crown molding on those cabinets IMO would ruin the look. Don't fight what you have by trying to change a style. Stay cohesive!
