Benjamin Moore "Baby Turtle" is an awesome muted sage green. It can look sophisticated enough for a study/dining or versatile enough for a kid's room.
What a pretty entry way in the picture above!
Just a suggestion for the future..... if the sage is too green/bright, try adding some black, just a tiny bit, it will add more gray. Adding a creamy white lightens and brightens, while adding just a touch of yellowish, pure bright white simply lightens. I always have artist acrylic paints on hand for tinting....try playing around with colors, you'll be amazed at what you can do.
I have been looking for a perfect sage green and just haven't hit it. I have looked at swatches in the store, bought samples and tried them home but found colors that are either too olive, too blue, too grey, or too lime green/"sherbet-y." I want something that is a little on the grey side, but not too much grey...I want green, not grey.
Suggestions? Thanks!
Verdigris, its a muted greyish green, not too lime, not too grey;I'm trying to match carpet w/wall; stay away from aloe green, lol way too bright.
We just painted a room Weekend Getaway (Benjamin Moore - was a Pottery Barn color a few seasons back) that I really like. I've attached pictures for you. I was also looking for a grey undertone since the carpet is grey. Hope this helps...
I ditto the SW Svelte Sage. I used it and the next lighter color, SW Grassland, in my last house. Everyone loved it.
