I am curious...features you were surprised to find useful

I'll second the screened in porch. Deeeelightful to be able to sit out and not worry about bugs (and the cat loved it too).

My fave upgrade was the pull-out kitchen cabinet inserts. It is awsome to not have to get on your knees to dig things out of the back of your cabinets.

Lastly, another fave upgrade was marrying a man who cooks ;-) It is so much easier that way!

Don't own, but rent.

Have something I like, and something I don't. There's an island in the kitchen, and a bar connected to that, and I could just sit and eat at the bar. Although I usually just eat in my room.

The thing I don't like is the multi-light in the bathroom. If I wanted plenty of light, I'd just get a single 100-watt bulb (equivalent). I currently have 6 40W equivalents instead. Lot more than what I need.
