Hard to tell what colors are in the top of the vanity, but I would pull a medium tone out of the top.

I find the finish on the vanity to be very neutral. What will the rest of the room look like? That will dictate the color and the material you choose for the top.

I would go with travertine marble tiles, if you want a more rustic look go with it tumbled. For a cleaner more contemporary, I'd go with it smooth and shiny.

and where would this tile be going ?

rooms floor, rooms walls (wainscot) or shower walls ?
is your room going to be country, modern, historic, etc. ?

there's about a bazillion colors, sizes and textures in the beige group

your top is in the same shade as this Travertine top, we did a x18 Porcelain
matching tile on the walls and floors and it looks great.

I did a backsplash with Florida tile Livingston Leather. The cabinets were dark with a light countertop.

Sorry I wasn't clear - it will be for the floor. It is a small space so going a little expensive is probably not a big deal at all.

Default integrity

What kind of house do you have (i.e., historic style, year it was built)? How are the rest of the rooms in your house designed?
