thanks Renee.... while i have a few 'issues' with my kitchen [after 8 yrs] i still LOVE my paint job... the blue doesnt show up that well, it's a Hydrangea Blue. Matches the bean bag chair in the family room.

On my home page you can find my previous kitchen which has cream walls and brilliant white glossy trim. It's the 3rd picture. The fist 2 are ugly but that's what the customer wanted. The cabinetry was fine Merillat Masterpiece knotty pine in distressed dark walnut and I did matching floors same color as my cabinets. More wood then most people would like but I love wood and I exploit it in my designs (when allowed to).

This was my dream kitchen as well as my own design and installed with my own hands. I did some things that I would never suggest to my clients such as the 30 + 21 uppers with the glass up top. I can't stand stacking uppers but I did it anyway. I used black onyx countertops to go beautifully with the dark colored semi distressed wood cabinets.

That whole kitchen cost me less then $16,000....my cost. If I ever buy a house again I will do another that will put this one to shame. It's so much fun I crave it.

TKO = Totally Obsessed Kitchens

When I moved into my apartment, it had brown cabinets and black counters/appliances. I got the great idea to do a European kitchen look with lots of stainless stuff.....so I trekked off to IKEA. Now I have a kitchen that other people think looks cool, but it isn't my personality at all. If I renew my lease here in March, and I probably will, I'm going with a complete redo in a much softer style.

This is the last time I will chose a decor because it looked great in a magazine....but didn't reflect my personal style at all.
