I buy all my sheets off Overstock. You can't beat the price.
I bought some German Flannel sheets a few yrs ago... best sheets ever.
You are right with the German flannel sheets. They are very soft and look great even after years of use. Also the German terry cloth sheets are very soft and delicate - I wonder why they are not popular here...
and it was ironic... i bought mine in the late winter... probably clearance... i think i got them for like $30 ... checked back this year and they are $60. bummer... i wanted an extra set.

I always used to buy 'percale' which I love the feel of - they are crisp yet soft feeling.. I can't tell you how many sets of sheets I have bought, used and then given away because they are all way too soft for my taste. The feel like they have been slept in for weeks after only one night. I would love to find some "percale" Wamsutta but I guess they don't make them any more. I hate all the sateen ones I have tried.
