I have a very large living room with a beaded pine ceiling and saltillo tile floors. Right now the room is painted a boring stark white, the same as the baseboards. The room is about 25 ft by 55 ft and at the end it enters into the family room, where there are 2 steps down. The room has a window nook area at the opposite end of the entry to the family room, with a fireplace on the wall that is visable from the front door and foyer. (I'll post a pic if I can figure out how :-) Across from the fireplace is a wet bar. I am DYING to paint this room, and I'm thinking a buttercream type color with possibly a rust or brick red accent wall, maybe at the far end of the room leading into the family room. (and maybe the small wall behind the wet bar, too) Any suggestions greatly appreciated! It's a lot of painting to do to get it wrong.
Take a look at Benjamin Moore, you can try oklahoma wheat, I presonally like desert tan but that has a golden yellow tone that will go well with red accent wall
