I have Orange tile (which I hate) running through my entryway, hallways, kitchen and bathrooms. I really want to replace my berber carpet in all other areas with hardwood floors but I don't want all the rooms in my home to turn orange. The majority of my furniture is dark wood so when I tried a dark maple sample my furniture kind of felt like it sunk into the floor. Do you have any suggestions that will break my floor from the furniture and stop my house from becoming completely orange. I just can't afford to pull up all the tile in the house but the berber is is poor condition and must be replaced.

Thank you!

Bruce Hardwood Gun Stock is nice. I think it would calm down the orange a bit and bring out any darker tones. I loved that color in my old home. Glad I didn't go with CHerry b/c you can really see the scratches with cherry.

Ugh. The Home Depot special.

Go with something with brownish undertones to balance the orangeness of the tile. Walnut.

Oak is always a good choice and it stains really well, so you could then choose from a whole rainbow of colors to stain it. Plus oak is affordable compared to other woods.
