Hi,

Will the hard plastic casters on my bed frame scratch or dent hardwood floors? I can put a rug under there if necessary, but ideally would rather not do that.

Thanks for any tips.

Is your bed "moving" while you on it?

hahaha, nice.

(mine are actually barrel casters)

Bed doesn't move on my current floors, but these are 70 year old pine floors, not the brand new maple floors that I'll be moving to. Not sure if that matters.

So maybe we're talking about different things here, but how do you put square protectors on a round surface? I have the square protector things on my furniture, but I don't see how they would work for something round like a barrel caster.

Thanks for clarifying.

You can remove the barrel casters and replace them with plastic or rubber footings (gosh, I wish I had a picture!). So the bed won't roll around. Yes, plastic could scratch the floors so rubber is better. I have the same problem too: my hardwood floors are 80-years old.

Yes, a picture would be nice.
Not sure if we are talking about the same thing, but I solved my problem by cutting a slice of a pipe insulation and fitting it on the round surface
