Just had kitchen remodeled. New maple cabinets stained in Dark Mahogany with New Caledonia granite countertops. Our floor is tiled off white with some brown in it and dark brown grout. The kitchen receives afternoon sun. A passageway was cut above the sink to look into the living room.

I need help finding a color to paint my new kitchen! My decor in the rest of the house is Americana/country. The paint colors in the living room is Redstone Dining Room Gold Valspar Historic color. The accent wall of the fireplace is Cranberry Bog Valspar(this wall connects to the kitchen). I want a color that will flow. Help Please!!

Is it me or is that brown mustard color making the room dark? If it is then the cave effect will only be helped with an off-white color to brighten the room. Multiple cabinet colors give you your palette colors. Probably the island cabinets, if they are different than the wall will give a good contrast. Looks like the offwhite beige to me. Do you have any inspirational artwork that could complement a half-wallpaper wall in the dining area? Lower wallpaper would break up the white wall/white trim.
