I just saw at Home Depot yesterday that Martha Stewart paint cards now have a ceiling color and a trim color suggestion on the back. so you fold over the top and bottom and you can see all 3 colors together.
I have been planning to paint my ceilings a color, but I was going to just add a bit of wall color to the ceiling paint.
That is cool. I am a big fan of painted ceilings. All of our ceilings are painted either a light tan or a lighter shade of the wall color. It really finishes off a room. We were in a paint store and a man was trying to pick out a color for his ceiling and the salesperson was really trying to talk him out of it. Me, being me, nosed in and told him what we had done in 2 separate houses. He loved the idea and ended up doing the same thing. White looks good if you have white trim or are using pastels but we have more earth tones and the light tan compliments that very well.
Penn- you can always pick up the MS color swatches and color match/order them in Behr or the like- or even head to Sherwin Williams.
Say what you will about Martha she has a rela knack for packaging and presenting products/ideas. I really thought her furniture line would take off a few years ago but it seemed to get lost in the shuffle during her trial.
