What would be a fair price on a 2005 Honda Civic in excellent condition with 40K miles on it. That is all the specs that I have at the moment, I'm trying to get more detailed specs. Kelly Blue Book gives it about $10K. I feel like its a bit much for a 6 year old car. Maybe I'm wrong?

Depends on the options, but Civics hold their value really well. Check Eebay autos to see what they are actually selling for.

That is very low mileage for a 2005 car. If it is in good condition and has been maintained, the price will seem high. But it is probably in the ballpark. Used Civics hold their value very well.

Heres about 60 05 Civics for sale on Craigslist in Dade county Fla...
how would your one stack up?

south florida cars & trucks - all classifieds "2005 Honda Civic" - craigslist

I'd say apart from some dreamer in Ft. Lauderdale who thinks his car is worth almost $12K a price between $6000 and $8500 would be the ball park figure.
You could ask for a higher price but how can you compete with all those $6-$8K cars.

Jambo, that's what I was thinking. I'd be ok with 6-8K, it seems reasonable. The fact that the car has such low mileage is odd to me. Someone once told me that cars are meant to be driven, meaning this one has been sitting around for some time.

Are you in Florida? If not, that doesn't mean much.
