I have a Honda Civic 2003. Is the oil tank on the passenger's side or the other side?

I have a slight oil leak but I'm not even sure if it's happening. When I put in oil or check it, it's on the driver's side, near the steering wheel. I can't see under the car with a mirror.

Have you got a diagram of the bottom of the car? I don't need anything complicated. I don't have a Chilton book etc. My manual doesn't show the whole bottom.

Also, when you use the air conditioning, some water will drip out. What part of this car would it drip from?

Thanks.

Oil Tank? You mean the oil pan that’s mounted on the bottom of the engine, mounted to the engine block. If you don’t know we’re the oil pan is located have a mechanic look for the leak. The dipstick can be anywhere in the engine bay, but the oil pan is always on the bottom of the engine block. A oil leak can come from anywhere from the engine the engine has many seals and gaskets that can leak oil.

Yes, I meant oil pan. Actually, oil can leak from many different places.

Water spots from running the A/C is normal for all cars. It's condensation in the system that needs to drain off.

And yes oil (or oil like) leaks can come from several places.
Oil pan gasket or drain plug or filter
Transmission
Power steering pump or hoses (unless it's electric)
Brake cylinder or lines
Engine front or rear main seal

If a brake fluid leak is visible today, there will be no brakes tomorrow.

The transmission uses both oil and transmission fluid, is that right?

Engines use oil
Transmissions use transmission fluid
Brakes use brake fluid
Power steering usually uses a transmission fluid or something similar.

All are petroleum or synthetic based, but DIFFERENT fluids.

ALWAYS CHECK YOUR OWNER'S MANUAL FOR THE CORRECT FLUID.

I went to the mechanic. The leak was from the cylinder head plug which costed $15. No oil has been on the ground since then.

Where exactly is the cylinder head plug? How many are there?

Thank you.

I'm not very knowledgable on Honda blocks or heads, but there appears to be an oil plug on the head. Probably something to do with the VTEC design.
I always though they needed to be replaced once they leaked, but maybe you can just tighten it.

Glad that solved it.
