I love mine. Kenmore - Ultra Wash. About three years old. Energy efficient. Low water consumption. Loves the cheap-o brands of soap. Scrubs off week-old fried egg stains like magic. I run it about three times a week and so far it's been worry-free.

Mine is a big hideaway drying rack... I think I've run it like 3 times since I moved in, years ago, and one of those was to clean it out.

I've never had a dishwasher that I was NOT happy with- even the cheap ones that were in apartments I rented years ago were fine. Not sure why you'd heard so many complaints- maybe a lot of people are a lot more picky than I am?

Here's why I love Sears products. My parents bought a Sears brand fridge during the Kennedy administration. That's 1963. Silly thing ran with no problems for 45 years. Everyone was telling my parents to upgrade and go "energy efficient" but as far as they were concerned it was paid for and it ran like a champ so why mess with success. Good enough for me!

I have a GE something-or-the-other. I'll have to find out the model tonight.
I love it. Love, love, LOVE it! I never have to rinse any dishes and they all come out wonderfully clean and sanitized. I use off-brand liquid detergent and JetDry.
