I recently had a new kitchen floor installed, seagrass laminate and painted the kitchen walls a bayleaf green. The existing baseboard in the kitchen is in bad shape which I planned on replacing but I'm having trouble matching the stain on the woodwork around the door opening to the dining room off the kitchen. My kitchen cabinets are a dark oak and I also have two dark oak doors off of the kitchen in a small entry way leading into the family room.
What I need to know is would painting the woodwork and baseboard white in the kitchen with the dark cabinets work? I would then like to paint the doors in the entry way white as well.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to avoid having to staining disasters in trying to match the existing workwork.
