Our house is mostly CBS with some wood frame and three sides have brick facing. The back is bare unfinished CBS.

The facing they did is horrible. You can see it going up and down. It's actually wavy. The bricks are different colors in different areas. Some are smooth and some are very rough. Some look decent, others are growing......... moss it looks like. All in all, it just looks horrible.

Does anyone have any ideas on ways to make it look somewhat decent - or at least better - without breaking the bank? We'd considered stucco-ing over it but everyone has said it's a horrible idea. A few suggested putting up siding, which is what they did on the second floor.

Suggestions?

Middle TN. Summers can be pretty brutally hot and humid.

Could ice dam be an issue? Leak begins when sun hits east side. Window installer says it is siding/ flashing problem. Siding person says it Is inside because it Is protected with bump out. When thaw begins, which will be soon, I trust, it could be a major mess. At a loss for solution.
