I want to epoxy-coat my garage floor. I'm looking for that ever-so-rare combination of affordablity, appearance, and quality. For that, which would be best, to purchase a DIY kit, or to have it professionally done?
It's a 3-car garage, if that helps. Thanks in advance!

I did epoxy coating/concrete restoration for a few years. You need to find a local company that sells supplies to the industrial plants.
Forget the DIY kits because it will not last. You need a real good epoxy and the only place to find it is in a place that sells to plants. Sika is a good product, so is Dudick. Find a product that will hold up to driving on it, one that won't stick to the tires and release from the concrete.
I was thinking of doing it myself too. Looked into the kit from Home Depot. It seems like it does hold up well, unless you park cars on it... Costco has a kit that is supposed to be better, not water based. At this point I have too many other projects and have gotten used to the beaten up look in the garage. There is a forum, I guess garage journals, you can drive yourself crazy and spend more on the garage flooring than the flooring for the rest of the house.
