I recently had my crawl space encapsulated, which entailed sealing it entirely (including vents) and installing a large dehumidifier. Due to the fact that our furnace is located down there, the installed also put a flexible duct running from one open vent, terminating right next to the furnace to allow for fresh air intake. I was wondering if this is acceptable and enough fresh air for furnace function? I have a carbon monoxide detector in the house, but just want to make sure this is suitable before any issues arise.

As long as you keep rodents from building nests in it, should be fine.
