i think if you want to put you christmas tree up as soon as november 1st then that is your option. I happened to love christmas. So im putting mine up this friday. If eairly is what makes you happy then do it and if you want to wait later to last minute so what. each their own.

If I break out the artificial {which looks real, not the fake plastic looking ones} I put it up Thanksgiving weekend. If I opt for a fresh tree, like I did last year, it's the 2nd weekend in December. I'm undecided this year what I'm going to do...most likely a fresh tree again, nothing like it...Happy Holidays everyone

In Europe we used to put it up on Dec 1 but here it's the day after Thanksgiving.

Did you ever notice that in lots of those made-for-TV movies about Thanksgiving family gatherings. the house usually is decorated for Christmas? I thought a lot of people did that. From what I'm reading here, it's not necessarily so. Still, I think I'm going to put up Christmas decorations for our T'day.

Decorating the trees can be a pain, but I love doing it.

Many years ago I started buying an ornament related to wherever we went, as well as I have always asked for some ornaments when older friends/relatives downsize or die.

There are a LOT of memories on my trees.
