We are dreaming about our future cabin and I am
not sure about putting the Hot tub under a covered
or uncovered deck.

I want to be able to use it if its raining but I LOVE
being able to see the sky/stars/moon when it isn't
raining...

We have a hottub now and I use it daily .....Sometimes I sit in it with a handheld
umbrella because it is amazing to just listen to the rain ....

The only solution to achieve both that I can think of
is to have it on an open deck with
an large stand umbrella beside it that can be used if it is raining...

Any other ideas???????

I presonally would never racommend sitting in a hot tub or pool when its raining because of the much great risk form lightening. But of course a deck with lightening rod systen would help there. Its even greater ihn a more rual setting.

At my FIL's old house, he had built an enclosed deck with skylights on the roof for his hot tub.

Put the hot-tub in a solarium or conservatory type enclosure?
Glass House - Orangerie - Glass Sun Rooms - Town & Country

House Garden - Garden Room and Conservatories

I don't think this more natural look would be out of place for a "cabin" : Atrium Windows - Sun Room Window

or a skylight "alternative" Skylights - Roof Skylight

I mean, as long as you are going to dream, you may as well be able to see the stars from your hot-tub!
