I bought this house with a garage door opener and there is an outside wall unit with a numbered keypad... how do I reset the numbers since I don't know the original numbers?
For some, you can take out the batteries, let it discharge completely (15 minutes ought to do it), then it'll be back to default, ready for reprogramming.
If your garage door opener is not working and for reset the numbers of your Garage Door Opener Remotes, you can contact garage door opener company or person.
Check Youtube. I've seen demos on how to reset the keypad on garage doors. Don't know if yours is very different but you can give it a try. Most say you press + hold a button on the opener (either front or back of the overhead unit that moves the door), then enter the new code on the keypad within 30 seconds.
I need to do this myself but don't have a high ladder to reach the overhead unit. In the meantime, I've changed the lock on the door entering the house from the garage just in case someone has the code wants to get in.
I have a Genie Pro 951-c screw drive. Need to replace it. What genie part # will be the easiest for replacing it.
Thanks in advance:
Gene
If you're going to replace the opener, why wouldn't you replace it with a better one?
