Unless the water is professionally tested, peoples opinions are not really relevant. UNtil we got our RO filter up and running we just used a britter faucet filter and we also hade some pitchrs for upstairs. They take out the bad taste and odor for the most part. However when compared to RO, they are noticably ineffective./
By the way, from what we researched, the basic filters like faucet or pitcher can only do so much, They are prettymuch all the ame as far as the water quality. Unless you go to a true RO or other heavy duty filtration, they are pretty much the same, just different marketing. However that I only what I found by reading a few dozen articles on the internet. Could be wrong, but watch out for marketing hype. A smart company can get all kinds of people including "professionals" to assert that one brand is better than another (usually more expensive brands). Yet all they are doing is parroting maerketing material that they read. Find some actual sutdies where they test the water after using the various filters. No need to pay for someone's clever marketing program.
