Hi All,

My wife and I just moved into a new home and wanted to get a morning room addition built on to the back off of the kitchen. Does anyone have a contractor they would recommend for the project?

Also what a good price would be per square foot (the room would not require any plumbing to be done) would be? We live in the Swedesboro, NJ area of Gloucester County.

First thing is get more then 5 or more estimates from local contractors. Ask for the lic. number and call or go on line for info. on the contactor by checking on your local contractors board and licensing if they had previous problem and if they took care of it, then check with other estimates and how far off is his or her prices is. But dont get rushed into signing because you were givin you five days from contract recieved and BS you that price of lumber might change or other reasons. This one is very important, have him or her read the contract and go over it with you like you are at a dealership buying a car. Trust me I have owned my company since 1986 and Ive heard it all when I had to finish other carpenters job. Then ask him for most updated insurance and call them to verify that he is covered , dont take the contractors word, and make sure before he even start that he has a permit. Good luck and please do tell me on your progress.
