I have tile throughout my house and it's in good order. However, there are fairly large patches of the light-colored grout that are darker than the rest, mostly in the higher traffic areas. Is there a way I can get the stained grout back to its original beige?
After getting your grout clean with those harsh cleaners, rinse any residue, let dry and seal the grout with a quality impregnating sealer. This will help to keep things in better shape in the future. Do NOT use these harsh cleaners after sealing. Doing so will merely degrade the sealing properties of the sealer. Us a neutral pH stone and tile cleaner. Sweep or vacuum first then damp mop (key word being damp).

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reminder about thorough cleaning then sealing! After several hours on my knees removing the stains, it would be such a pain to see the stain coming back!
