I hear ya - but all of the homes in the area (city of decatur) were small 3/2's. But it is one of the only areas intown with good schools that I could afford. Yeah, I cant believe I am building a home with 2 young ones
I used to live in Huntsville. What about Madison or east Limestone County? Lots of nice big homes there (cheap too) and it's only 15 minutes from Decatur. Very good schools on top of that.
