I'll be chiseling most of the way through the lumber though. Just wanted to get a powerful enough drill that could go all the way through so I could start the chiseling.

After constant thinking, changing my mind, going back and forth, etc. I decided to go with the kit with just the two drills - DCK275L 18V Cordless XRP

Its more money that I really planned on spending, but I do see projects where each could be used. I figure, I'd rather have it and not need it, then to need it, and not have it. So, both hammer drill and impact driver are being added to my "shop". I pick up the kit in the morning.
