They do sell that, along with engineered and solid 3/4" tongue and groove wood.

The Lumber Liquidators down have a pretty high percentage of prefinished solid hardwood. Which I actually don't really get since so many houses down here are on slab, and that kind of flooring has its difficulties with slab.

I had installed Birch flooring throughout most of my 4000 sq ft house 11 years ago. The only problem I have is it dents when a can falls out of the pantry closet and I burned a few spots from the fireplace spitting out a spark or two. All of this can be resanded to make it look new again.

We bought from an independent floor guy and had him install, so if anything went wrong, we could call him back. Screw Lowes and HD, imo they mostly carry crap and it's a hassle to get them to correct the work if they don't install.

For me i have had both, is one better then the other, Lumber Liquidators versus a Lowes, in my opinion only no. Maybe because of the way i take care of my floors, don't know, sorry but i saw no difference. There are other speciality stores that carry nothing but flooring, i would check them out also. Online retailers for flooring has such a good selection. I think it is more how one treats their floors, or how one abuses them. I take care of mine, i know i am a clean freak, each and every day.

I know a very very good floor guy who installs, he is at the point now, where he has told me that some of the new Pergo and others, are just as good or better then the real deal.
