im not particularly concerned about the wood. im only concerned about if my wife will complain to me or not.

For "regular" dusting I use Endust Fee. Which makes me only a little wheezy.

For plain old dusting -- I use a old wash rag lightly dampened with water and rung out to the nth degree -- I'm talking nearly dry. That will take off the dust and dirt, without a residue and ruining the wood. The dampness attracts and holds the dust instead of flinging it someplace else. On the few really good pieces of wood I have I use one swipe and fold the cloth to a new clean side -- dust can be gritty, and damage the finish eventually.

About once a year I use Pledge very lightly -- I've had the same bottle for so long -- I think it's been 15 years.

I do not believe in tons of cleaning products. I have liquid dish soap (I don't have a dishwasher), I have baking soda to scrub with, and I have Windex, and I use a neutral cleaner for my floors. My counters are washed twice daily with hot soapy water, when I do the dishes (Breakfast and Dinner), and my house is clean.

It's what I use now instead of Pledge, and not just on cabinets. Love this stuff. I have asthma and a lot of the cleaners make me wheeze. This doesn't. (Yippee!) Plus it cleans really, really well and leaves just enough of a shine. And it hasn't damaged anything I've used it on.

For "regular" dusting I use Endust Fee. Which makes me only a little wheezy.

Others that don't bother my asthma: Green Works natural glass and surface cleaner by Clorox and original Windex.

(Just a little info for anyone out there with asthma and/or allergies. As always, your results may differ. )
Listen to this person. They are obviously above the intelligent mark. Yes Cabinet Magic is the very best product on the market for wood and even laminates. I been using it and recommending it for more then 3 decades.

There are other "Magic" products such as Granite Magic, Tile Magic, Stainless Magic etc etc.....I never even tried them, so can't recommend them but the Cabinet Magic is the best.
