2 car garage better? (resale value, resale, home, neighbor)

Does 2 car garage homes sell faster than a 1 car/no garage? Do they generally appreciate better?

Depends on the neighborhood, but in general 2 car is preferred and adds value...from 3k to 7k also depending on neighborhood...

My current home in SC has two car garage, while most of the other homes in the subdivision has one car garage or no garage at all. My appraiser told me it adds like 1K to the resale value, which I see it as B.S.
