This is SOLID granite, right? Not a thin piece of granite glued onto another surface?
Yes, solid 3cm granite.

Sounds like you may be a home inspector, such as myself. I too have inspected thousands of homes with granite counters and know this is unacceptable and not normal. They can keep their "enhanced stone" and put it on display in their own showroom...not in my kitchen! ....I would consider using it in my garage as a work bench.... thanks for your comments.

I would agree again and again. We'll see what they have to say Tuesday after they come out to "assess".

If that doesn't work, Call the BBB and then Sue.
Good advice. I have a third party (stone restoration company) coming out to take a look this evening. We'll keep you posted. Oh, and BTW....I happen to be a certified home inspector and know this granite defect is not an enhancement in the granite beauty! I should know more tomorrow after the original installer comes out to "assess" the "vein".....

I love it! You and I are on the same track. I thought about giving the stone back to them, at my expense, so they can have their "natural beauty enhanced vein" be on display in their showroom. I'll be sure tomorrow to let them know that they can have their "big ole crack looking thing" back! LOL! You made my wife and i "crack" up! Thanks.

The "natural beauty enhanced vein" should be sold back to them for top $$$$$. After all it is a " one of a kind"....

I would refuse to have that piece of crap in my home....
