Just wondering if an attic in summer heat would stay cooler packed full of boxes or completely empty? No attic fan and just a small area but it gets really hot. I want to keep my house cooler during summer.
First, make sure you have adequate attic ventilation.
Second, don't put anything up there that will block the ventilation.
Third, don't put anything in the attic you would not put in an oven at 150 degrees for 6 hours.
Your slat vents are probably in the gable ends, and yes you want to keep the air flowing.
