Am I just a lazy bum? (tiling, how much, insulating, refinishing)

When I am outside my house I have no problem working. Yet...Other than cleaning, when I am at my house, regardless of how much I have to do(a lot) I put it off, I have a very hard time getting into work mode to things done. I literally have to force myself to do any projects. Once I get going I'm ok but that's the hardest part.
Anyone else have this problem? I really need to change this

At your job you must work. Around your house you should work. Big attitude difference between must and should......LOL
What specifically are you having trouble doing?
Perhaps someone here can offer suggestions, short cuts, etc.
Been remodeling my dads house/my future house(where I live) for a while...Stuff like insulating(god that is the worst and I fear I'm going to get cancer), refinishing trim and floors, electrical wiring, painting, drywalling/plastering...Basically any home improvement. When I do actually work I feel so awesome afterwards but getting going just sucks!
I had a 2 week vacation and I did next to nothing in regards to the house despite my lofty plans, felt crummy after wasting that time.

Lol Good point for sure but even when I'm at a friends house helping them out from the kindness of my heart it is soooo much easier for me to get into work mode!

Yeah, it feels so awesome after huh?
My theory is in your mind home=place to relax, no work and do heavy labor. I don;t know. It could also be addiction to the internet because when my internet shuts off due to a service outage I go around the house like a madman and do everything.
Wish there was some creative way I could overcome this, maybe I just need to man up?
Geez, I wish i had the skills to perform all that you've mentioned....I have no qualms getting motivated to work indoor or outdoor, the problem is that I am still a novice when it comes to performing the jobs. I have to read tons of books and watch youtube clips to make sure I gain enough knowledge before doing whatever crazy project my wife comes up with for the house. I think trying to learn the task is the exhausting part for me...but once i know what needs to be done...i even work through the night to complete the task.

Lol, actually I'm a total noob(I'm 22, never worked in construction) also but I've managed to do a really good job on everything I've done so far. I do the same thing, read read read and look on youtube. I've learned a lot and gained a lot of experience, it's nice to know how things work in your house and how to do them.
'Askthebuilder' AKA Tim Carter on youtube is very helpful on a lot of things.
Soon me and my dad are going to be building custom built in kitchen cabinets once I am done tiling a section of the kitchen. We will be buying the doors though, I purchased a Kreg picket hole *** which is an amazing tool. Even though I'm no expert feel free to DM me if you have any questions about the projects I listed!

Thanks for the words of encouragement. Its good to know that all these projects are not being done by experts. I will definitely take you up on the offer for suggestions because this stuff is all new to me. First time homeowner!
Why are you so rude? You have really become a stand out in threads for anything but helpful. Get over yourself.
