Is $5/sq ft the price of the floor including moving everything out and installing? How in the hell does anyone make money at that point. That's doing it free. (I also just created an account to post in this thread, because I believe $5/sq ft for the whole pie is ridiculous. I paid $6/sq ft for the hickory floor in my kitchen and I installed it myself.
